As summer draws to a close and autumn returns to San Diego, families and friends gather to enjoy a balmy evening in the park amid colorful displays of lanterns festively flickering against the night sky. This is the 2015 San Diego Lantern Festival, a one-of-a-kind event that brings together neighbors, businesses, students and community groups for a fun, safe, and cultural experience.

The event will take place on the evenings of September 18-20, 2015, at the Kearny Mesa Park and Recreation Center (3170 Armstrong St, San Diego, CA 92111). Located next to Mesa College, Kearny High School and a network of residential complexes, the venue is exposed to over 53,000 drivers each week.

Each year, the San Diego Lantern Festival draws an average of 10,000 – 15,000 attendees from all walks of life. The event is a perfect mix of delicious food, unique vendors, lively entertainment and family-friendly activities and games. The 2015 Lantern Festival will feature a fantastic line up of cultural entertainment including lion dances, street performers, concerts, dancing and of course, a breathtaking display of 6,000 lanterns in the evening.
